TABACCO Alana

Calabria or Calavria, is a region in southern Italy,south of Naples, located at the "toe" of the Italian peninsula. To the north is the region of Basilicata, to the south-west is the region of Sicily, to the west bis the Tyrrhenian Sea, and to the east is the Ionian Sea. he region covers 15,080 km² and has a population of 2 million. The regional capital is the city of Catanzaro. The other two main cities are Reggio Calabria and Cosenza. If you are born in Calabria you would be classified as Calabrian, just like if you live in Australia, you are Australian.

There are many beautiful places to stay in Calabria and many beautiful things to go and see such as the five star Parco Dei Principi Hotel, and there is also a small town called Scylla which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1908, the ruins of a castle and the rest of the town remain to be admired by visiting tourists.


Scylla is also a name for mythical creature which lives in the straight of Messina
between Sicily and Calabria.
